Bass Fishing is by far the Number 1 sought after fish here on lake Okeechobee, but there are other species here to fish for that can be as fun to catch. Winter time Crappie fishing has been improving the last 4 years. We are not back to catching limits of these tasty fish but, we should be able to catch a good dinner or 2 of these guys. Late spring and early summer is the time to go Bluegill fishing. Our bluegills are big and with lighter rods and line are great action. I also offer Fall gator hunts for those who like to hunt and would like to try to capture one of these ( Big Lizards). Gator hunts are by permit only if interested we need to get together in late April to try to secure a tag. They are drawn randomly.
